Who we are

Crawl is a small team of grounded SEO consultants at the top of their game.

We noticed that all too often, businesses get caught in long-term SEO retainers with digital agencies that actually deliver very little value.

But the traditional agency model is tired.

Our approach

At a glance, our approach is about flexibility and autonomy for both the client and the consultant.

Our initial 30-day Roadmap affords you the time, information and breathing room you need to make an informed decision about whether you’d like to work with us long-term.

By working on a fully remote basis, we can unlock the door to leading SEO professionals from across the globe.

We also capitalise on the growing freelancer economy, so your strategies are executed by a network of the best content, digital PR, analytics and development freelancers.

Freelancers are specialists. They offer variety, flexibility and – fundamentally – they can help us roll out SEO strategies at scale if you don’t have the resources in-house.

Our Roots

I’m Andrew Charlton, an independent SEO consultant and founder of Crawl.

I’ve worked for agencies and in-house for over a decade, so I know what it’s like on both sides of the table.

I get my clients’ frustrations, I’ve lived their challenges, and I appreciate the risk that comes with investing in an agency.

Having made a successful jump to freelance SEO, starting Crawl was the natural next step. My aim is to take all of the benefits of working with a freelance SEO, and extend them into a consultancy. It will remain intentionally small, personal, and focused only on delivering industry-leading SEO consultancy.

Crawl is designed to give clients transparency and autonomy. Rather than layers of account teams, sales teams and junior executives working in silo, our experts are an extension of your existing team.

With Crawl, you get a direct line to senior-level SEO experts.
